Things to do and Places to eat

Find the puffin. Somewhere in Carden Cottage is small wooden puffin crafted by the late John Kordak, a well-known Maine artist. We invite you to hide it somewhere else in the cottage for the next guest to find. Throughout the cottage you will see the work of several other Maine artists. We encourage you to visit the Archipelego Store of the Isalnd institute in Rockland, the Working Art Gallery in Belfast and the Maine Prison Store in Thomaston.
Things to do:
Sit on the porch

Kayaking - Duck Trap Kayaks will deliver a kayak to the Bayside Dock.
Sailing - the Northport Yacht Club offers sailing lessons.

Acadia National Park
Letterboxing-grab a notebook and get going!
PLACES TO EAT (in no particular order)
Young's Lobster Pound - call ahead and your order will be ready. Take your own drinks and sides and enjoy the lobster on their outdoor tables, or make a lobster run and have dinner on the porch.
Seng Thai- East Belfast. Amazing Thai food.
Bayside Country Store - great pizza and subs and sinfully good ice cream. Located at Bayside Road and Highway 1, so it is an easy walk to burn off the ice cream. Walking to the store without an adult is a right of passage for Bayside tweens. The store closes at 7:30 p.m.
Dos Amigos - Bayside Road and Highway 1. Good Mexican food and great people watching.
Chase's Daily - Downtown Belfast. Open for breakfast and lunch, also sells baked goods and their own home-grown produce.
The Mariner Cafe - downtown Camden. Great lobster roll and fried clams and awesome fish and chips. Its motto - "No ferns, no quiche", just great food. Sign on an outside wall reads "Come on in, the locals will enjoy your accent".
The Whale's Tooth Pub - Lincolnville Beach - nice restaurant and kid-friendly. Maybe the best fish and chips EVER!
The Hideaway Diner - Highway 1 just south of Bayside Road. Breakfast the way it was meant to be.
